Payments
Payment, a function of the order.
Payment is a button in your workflow. It generates a payment page from the order: Innovae sells there on your behalf, Stripe processes the payment, and Innovae pays you out.
How it works
- 01
Innovae verifies your store
Before the first sale, we check your business, what you sell, and your delivery conditions. You sign the merchant agreement.
- 02
You generate a link from the order
The payment page is in Innovae’s name. It carries the words “Sold by Innovae on behalf of”, followed by the name of your store, and the buyer accepts Innovae’s terms of sale there.
- 03
Your customer pays
The card fields are provided by Stripe. Innovae never sees card data. On the buyer’s statement, the descriptor is “INNOVAE*” followed by the name of your store.
- 04
Innovae pays you out
The order moves to “paid” in Innovae. The proceeds of the sale, less the commission, are paid out to you on the schedule in your agreement.

What Stripe does
Stripe is Innovae’s payment provider. It processes card payments and protects card data, which Innovae never sees.

- Buyer authenticationStripe
- Payment fraud detectionStripe
What Innovae takes on
- Innovae never sees card data.
- Funds are collected by Innovae through Stripe, then paid out to merchants.
- Innovae carries refunds and payment disputes.
- Innovae invoices the buyer and collects the applicable VAT.
Fees
Innovae keeps 8.9% + €0.40 on each sale collected, payment fees included. The rest is paid out to you. If you do not use payment, you only pay your subscription.
Already taking payments elsewhere?
Innovae works without payment. You track your customers, orders, and parcels, and mark an order as paid by hand. In that case, you remain the seller of your orders.

A few lines about your store and your volumes are enough. We show you the software on your own cases.
