Legal
Acceptable use policy
Principle
Innovae is for managing and selling lawful goods and services, presented honestly. Because Innovae is the seller of record for the orders it collects, it chooses the merchants and products it accepts. This policy is part of the Terms. It takes up Stripe’s list of prohibited and restricted businesses and also applies to merchants who do not collect payment in the software.
Merchant verification on entry
No sale is collected before this verification is complete. We check: the registration of the business and the identity of its legal representative; the website or store, the catalog, and the prices; delivery and return conditions and the customer service contact; bank details, in the name of the business; the absence of any product or activity refused below.
We may ask for supporting documents: registration extract, identity document, supplier invoices, authorizations needed to sell a product. A merchant is reviewed again after a report, an abnormal dispute rate, repeated late deliveries, or a change of business.
Products and activities refused for sale
Any product or service that is illegal in the country of the seller or the buyer, and any infringement of intellectual property: counterfeits, unauthorized copies, branded products without resale rights.
Weapons, ammunition, explosives, and their parts; narcotics, similar substances, and accessories intended for their use.
Medicines, including prescription medicines; regulated medical devices; food supplements and products making unauthorized health claims.
Tobacco, vaping products, CBD, and alcohol.
Gambling, lotteries, and betting; get-rich-quick schemes, pyramid selling, and multi-level programs.
Sexual content and services; content exploiting people, minors in particular.
Financial products and services: credit, investment, currency exchange, sale of crypto-assets, money transfer, prepaid cards, gift cards, and any stored value.
Forged documents, stolen data, hacking tools, and any product that facilitates fraud.
Ticket resale, travel and services sold long in advance, subscriptions with hidden renewal.
Live animals, protected species and products made from them; dangerous, recalled, or non-compliant products.
Sale of personal data, content inciting hatred or violence, terrorist financing, money laundering, and sanctions evasion.
Any product or activity on Stripe’s list of prohibited or restricted businesses.
Conduct we refuse
Misleading presentation of what is sold, by whom, at what price, or with what delivery time; having sales collected on behalf of a third party under your workspace.
Having a sale collected with no real product to deliver, or shipping something other than what was sold.
Running a store with no reachable support contact or without handling returns.
Sending unsolicited messages from the software or using your customers’ data for purposes they have not accepted.
Testing stolen cards, probing or attacking the security of the service, accessing other merchants’ data.
Opening several workspaces to get around a suspension.
Reporting and sanctions
Anyone can report abuse to contact@innovae.io. Depending on the seriousness, we ask for a correction, withdraw a product from sale, suspend sales or payouts, suspend the workspace or end the agreement, and inform Stripe or the competent authorities where the situation requires it.
